Welcome to the “Paper-Towns”- (2018) is a performance where I am exploring the unanswerable question of Where are you from?

I have investigated where my first name came from. I learned the my Great-Grandfather Joe Gilman went to the Carlisle Indian School in Carlisle,PA and he was from the Chippewa Tribe from Minnesota.

I collected raw data in official documents and family stories and he drifted and traveled a great deal.

Through this performance I used objects, clothing and sketchbook pages to explore my chaotic life story.

I am trying to explain how I am constantly redefining my identity, memory and how the language for it can be ephemeral. Its Construction vs. Deconstruction
